I hope you're all doing well and feeling inspired.
I'm absolutely thrilled to share some exciting news with you all. The latest issue of Femina magazine, hot off the press this Thursday, features an in-depth interview with me! This exclusive six-page spread delves into my artistic voyage, and I couldn't be more excited to let you in on my journey. I'm truly honored to be able to share my story with you all.
For those who might not be familiar, my professional path initially led me through the world of urban planning and architecture, working at renowned firms like BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) and Cobe. These experiences were truly invaluable and taught me so much. But life has an interesting way of nudging us towards our true passions, doesn't it?
About 2,5 years ago, I took that exhilarating plunge into the world of art, and I haven't looked back since.
In the interview, I discuss the challenges I
faced as I embarked on this new path. Art, as much as I adore it, comes with its own set of hurdles. From learning to navigate the administrative aspects of being an artist to stepping out of my comfort zone and reaching out to galleries, every experience has been a lesson in itself.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my journey is Colorflow Ink Workshops I conduct. These sessions are not just about teaching techniques – they're about unleashing the artist within each of us. It's about embracing creativity without fear, and I've had the privilege of witnessing participants surprise themselves with what they can achieve.
I believe in the power of art to transcend boundaries, to challenge norms. In the interview I go in-depth telling about my thoughts and aspiration behind 'Villain Era' project and the concept of embracing our 'villain' side – the traits we're often told to suppress. It's about celebrating our authenticity and giving ourselves permission to be a little rebellious.
I want to thank you all for your unwavering support on this journey. The magazine is out now, and I encourage you to grab a copy of Femina to read the full interview. It's a beautifully curated piece that I believe holds a piece of inspiration for everyone.
Remember, each of us has our own story to tell, our own hues to paint with. Let's keep infusing our lives with the colors of passion. Together, we're weaving a masterpiece.
With gratitude,
Margarita Howis
